Birth Doula Services

I believe that how birth happens, matters. In my role as a birth doula, I will guide you through pregnancy and labor, supporting you with presence, guidance, and evidence-based information.

What does a doula do?

​

As a birth doula, I will provide you with physical and emotional support during your pregnancy, labor, and into your fourth trimester.

​

What does that look like?

During your pregnancy, we will meet to discuss all aspects of childbirth. We will work together to create a birth preference plan, to review resources and evidenced based information, and to help you make the decisions that feel right for you throughout your pregnancy and childbirth. During these meetings, we will also explore ways in which I will help you and your partner amplify your voices if the need arises.

I will provide emotional support throughout your pregnancy and labor with encouragement and reassurance. I will do my best to talk you and your partner through any fears and self-doubt that arises, and helping to guide you and your partner through labor with relaxation, breathing techniques, and positions that help optimize the birthing process.

I will help you establish your ideal birthing environment through use of music and lighting, being available to offer comfort items like water, ice, snacks, even a phone charger! We will discuss how the use of massage, acupressure, hot or cold compresses, and assistance with walking, swaying, and exploring different positions can benefit you from a physical standpoint throughout your labor and delivery.

I am familiar with and passionate about the Spinning Babies® Approach, and attended the Spinning Babies® workshop for birth professionals in November of 2022. I look forward to exploring how these techniques can help to optimize your pregnancy and birthing experience.
